An Itinerary Breakdown of Norwegian Jewel’s 2023-2024 Asia Deployment
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) reaffirms their commitment towards Asia, as the cruise line returns the Far East for the 2023-2024 cruise season. After a nearly three-year absence from the region due to pandemic-related border closures, Norwegian Jewel will be bringing back the Freestyle Cruising concept to Asian waters from October 2023 to April 2024.
Destination-Intensive Far East Itineraries
Norwegian Jewel will be sailing destination-heavy itineraries all over the region, ranging from 9 to 12 nights with most itineraries jam-packed with ports. Certain itineraries also feature overnight stays in selected popular destinations like Phuket, Kobe-Osaka (for Kyoto), and Singapore.
It is important to note that most itineraries are one-way, meaning guests either have to fly to the departure port, and/or fly home after the cruise.
The Move: 16-Day Alaska & Japan: Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point & Hakodate to Tokyo
October 2023
Norwegian Jewel will cross the Pacific Ocean in a 16-night repositioning voyage from Seattle, Washington to Tokyo, Japan. The ship will visit Alaska before crossing the International Date Line. The ship will also visit ports in northern Japan before concluding the grand odyssey in Tokyo. A healthy cruise length and diversity of destinations.
Norwegian Jewel Explores Japan
October 2023, February—April 2024
Japan lovers rejoice! Norwegian Jewel will be sailing a total of five Japan-focused itineraries for this deployment. All itineraries range from 10 to 11 nights and all cruises will visit Mount Fuji (via Shimizu), and include overnight stays in Osaka or Kobe, for Kyoto.
Depending on the itinerary, guests will embark from Incheon, South Korea, Keelung, Taiwan (for Taipei), Tokyo, Japan or Yokohama, Japan. Currently, there is only one cruise that will have guests embark and disembark in Japan.
NCL is also offering a 14-Day Cruisetour package on the 11-Day Asia: Osaka, Okinawa And Shimizu Cruise departing 19 October 2023, which includes 4-day stay in Tokyo pre-cruise, followed by a 11-Day Cruise.
And depending on your choice of itinerary, other highlights of the Japan deployment include:

Jewels Of Southeast Asia

Cruise Norwegian through Southeast Asia with 11 different itineraries, each ranging from 9 to 14 nights. This deployment will see Norwegian Jewel visit ports in seven different Southeast Asian countries, with overnight stays in popular destinations like Singapore, Benoa (Bali) and Phuket.

Return To America - 12-night Transpacific Cruise
The conclusion of this deployment will see Norwegian Jewel return to Alaska on a 12-night Trans-Pacific cruise to Seward, with stops in northern Japan and Alaskan ports.
