We continue our journey through the Southern Islands with a stop in Ishigaki! Located around 1,043 nautical miles (1,932 km / 1,200 mi) south-west of Yokohama, Ishigaki-jima is the main island of the Yaeyama Island Group, and serves as a hub for the other islands within the island chain.
Unlike the rest of Japan’s main islands, the climate here is relatively humid, with long summers and mild winters.

Getting Off The Ship
Guests are reminded to carry the following documents with them, before stepping off the ship. Unlike Naha, guests must carry their physical passport with them, as the next port-of-call will be in another country. Do take note of the All-Aboard timings too!

With the formalities out of the way, we are all ready to disembark!

From the cruise ship pier, Princess Cruises has a shuttle service to the Ishigaki Ferry Terminal, where guests can hop onto local ferries going to the other islands.
Take note of the departure timing for the last bus!
